Jimmie Allison joined Vista Photonics in October of 2010 as a Research Engineer. He has 30+ years of experience designing analog and digital circuitry on various DOD strategic missile programs and has extensive experience developing embedded control systems on various; DOD & DOJ non lethal laser programs, military R&D laser programs to include airborne laser programs and on several NASA space programs.

Jimmie holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico and has extensive real world experience that includes gate level logic designs using PAL, CPLD, FPGA and ASIC Gate Arrays. He designed and developed embedded control systems using micro processors that integrated custom analog and digital circuitry and has authored embedded controller software developments incorporating both assembly and C programming languages.

As an employee with Vista Photonics, Jimmie designs supporting instrumentation electronics for trace gas
detection instruments utilizing both spectral absorption and photo acoustic technologies. He has designed autonomous thermal control subsystems, power supply and distribution subsystems, active band pass filter sections, autonomous pressure control subsystems covering pressures form 20 TORR to atmospheric with fractional TORR precisions and autonomous temperature control subsystems requiring stabilities of thousandths of a degree. Jimmie completed both the hardware designs and all software developments for the pressure and temperature autonomous control subsystems.
