Dr. Andrei Vakhtin is Principal Research Scientist at Vista Photonics and has been with the company since May 2008.
His professional experience includes over 20 years of research in the following areas: kinetics of gas-phase free radical reactions and unimolecular reactions; laser methods of excitation and detection of radicals and molecules; Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance studies of dissociation and chemical transformations of transition metal cluster ions; spectral interferometry and low-coherence imaging techniques for biomedical and material science applications. At Vista Photonics, he is involved in developing optical trace gas sensing and aerosol measurement technologies.
Dr. Vakhtin is an author of 24 peer-reviewed publications, 30+ professional presentations, and holds 2 patents.
