Quality Assurance Specialist
 

We are seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Specialist. Come help us build cutting-edge trace gas analyzers for ISS, Orion, Lunar Gateway, and next-generation ballistic missile submarines!

Due to our government contract ITAR and EAR requirements, all applicants must be US citizens or authorized to work in the US without the need for the Company to acquire export licenses or provide sponsorship. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for assuring consistent production quality and support the compliance to ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality programs by validating processes, performing quality audits, handling system improvements, providing documentation, and managing staff. Individuals in this role should be extremely thorough, detail-oriented, and enjoy following a workflow process. This role also calls for skilled problem-solvers.

The Quality Assurance Specialist reports to both the Chief Engineer and the President of the Company and works in tandem with the Quality System Manager.

Duties

Process Development and Improvement - conduct analyses, identify critical control points and preventive measures, establish critical limits, and monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.
 
Ensure Procedures comply with all required Quality Inspections and documentation based on relevant ISO, IPC and NASA standards.
 
Writing Process Documentation - Once a process has been fully vetted, write and update quality assurance procedures. Supply quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
 
Conduct Inspections - Regularly perform inspections that may include inspections of products, equipment, and machinery. Report any issues to ensure accordance with specific work instructions and safety guidelines.
 
Train New Staff - Educate coworkers on the proper quality control procedures, train new hires on quality control for product analyses, record keeping procedures, and proper inspection and quality control on production lines.

 

Skills and Abilities

Experience with AS 9100 2016 Rev D standard;
Experience with workmanship and quality requirements to comply with IPC and NASA standards;
Capable of understanding work related documents;
Able to convey instructions clearly;
Excellent verbal communication skills;
Ability to organize work with minimal supervision and in response to deadlines;
Knowledge and/or experience of good laboratory practice;
Good level of competence with Microsoft Office.

 

Education/Experience

An Associates Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline; and a minimum of 5 years' related experience. Related experience and training may be sufficient in lieu of education, depending on the candidate.
